From Seven Kids to a Motorhome : The Simple Joys of Enduring Love ❤️❤️

September 21st means a lot: my love and my heart was truly thrown into an upward spiral, and the beginning of a beautiful life on this day 28 years ago. There was a blue sky, crisp air, and autumn was on the cusp when I committed to my bride, Maria. Maria is and always has been a woman who makes me the person I am. She's been a constant in my goals, a motivator when I procrastinate, and the love of my life. I'm not just posting this to share the shiny side of my life. I'm sharing this because life is about lessons that are learned, and tools that are handed off to make it easier. life is too grand and important not to share.

How do I know we'll have many years like this to come?

Because we have lived together in a 35’ Class A motorhome for THREE years and haven't killed each other, that's how. I'd love to say that we've had our ups and downs, but we really haven't. Loosing loved ones did create a deep void inside and cemented us closer while mourning and missing those we've lost. This confirmed we still have each other, and that, my friend, is clearly an UP rather than down. We raised seven kids together, which comes with many challenges, but we always stayed on the same page as ONE united front. Division between the two of us was scant and virtually never existed in our entire lives together, and that, if accomplished, will guarantee you a good life of commitment no matter who your partner is. If you've connected on a level where silence is comfortable, where hate is shoved into an unescapable place, and where "just because" is a good enough reason to share a kiss, or hug, and to start a conversation, an accomplishment of bliss has been granted.

I needed to share this today, I needed to spout about how good our lives are together, because I've done this every year, and want the world to know. Maria is my rock, my soul, and life wouldn't be the same without her, she's my forever travel partner in life as well as on the road in our tiny house on six wheels.

I also wanted to say congratulations to my nephew Jason, and niece-in-law, Bailey for choosing this day to unite as a married couple. Congratulations, Jason & Bailey and may your years be as blissful and as blessed as the 28 years Maria and I have shared.

Thank you all for reading and the continuation of your support for my fiction, this site and the blog on the regular, I appreciate you. ❤️ ❤️
